Overview

The Walpole Zoning Board of Adjustment consists of five full members who are elected at town meeting for three-year terms and up to five alternate members who are each appointed for a three-year term by the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The responsibilities of the Board include:

To hear and act on requests for Special Exceptions as provided in the Zoning Ordinance (PDF)

To hear and act on requests for Equitable Waivers as allowed in state statute (RSA 674:33-a)

To hear and act on Appeals from Administrative Decisions

To hear and act on Appeals for Variances from the strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance (PDF)

To review parking for properties with a DADU (Article IV.O.5.)

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Walpole Town Hall. Applications should be delivered to the Board at a regular meeting.
