Minutes 8/5/09
In Attendance: Stacie Gay, Kerry Pickering, Joe Goodhue, Eliza Miller
Absent: Lisa Hindes-Moody, Kelly Hicks, Jay Punt
Meeting Opened at 7:10 PM.
I. Update from Joe Goodhue:
-Community Day planned for August 14th 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Donations accepted and will be used toward bathroom renovations
Pizza, Hamburgers, and Hot dogs will be for sale
Movies shown from 8:00 PM -12:00 PM
Music
-Working on collecting three quotes for bathroom repairs.
II. Stacie Gay will contact the Select Board to set up a convenient time to attend one of their meetings to:
A. find out what their expectations of us are so that we can establish goals.
B. write up a procedure ensuring that all youth coaches have a background check.
III. Updated the Rec Committee on the Playground Committee meeting.
IV. The Recreation Committee is going to recommend that there be no smoking at the park effective 2010, starting at the top of the stairs leading down to the park. Full committee will vote on this at our September meeting. We will need signs that indicate such and handicap parking signs.
