Minutes 7/1/09
In Attendance: Stacie Gay, Kerry Pickering, Joe Goodhue, Jay Punt
Absent: Lisa Hindes-Moody, Kelly Hicks, Eliza Miller
Meeting Opened at 7:10 PM.
Update from Joe Goodhue:
-Cracks in Tennis and Basketball courts getting larger and will be more expensive to fix the larger they get.
-Wooden sculpture needs to be removed.
-Horseshoe stakes need to be straightened.
-Joe is working on getting quotes for bathroom repairs. Will give to the Rec Committee to be included in next years budget proposal.
The committee discussed establishing goals for the Recreation Committee. It was mentioned that we should speak to the Select Board and see what their expectations are.
Updated the Rec Committee on the Playground Committee meeting.
The Recreation Committee would like to see all Walpole Youth coaches obtain a background check. The Select Board would need to approve funding.
